Life At ACA

A Holistic Experience in Learning, Culture, and Character

Life at Aquinas College Akure is a dynamic blend of academic pursuit, cultural enrichment, moral development, and social engagement. Beyond the classroom, the college provides an environment that nurtures well-rounded individuals through diverse extracurricular and co-curricular activities.

Students participate in vibrant student-led societies such as:

  • The JETS Club, which fosters scientific curiosity and innovation,
  • The School Library Society, which promotes reading culture and academic excellence,
  • The Cultural Troupe, which preserves and showcases indigenous heritage through dance and drama,
  • The Choral & Musical Group, where talents in vocal and instrumental music are harnessed,
  • The Press Club, which sharpens students’ journalistic and public speaking skills.

One of the most anticipated annual events is the Muturu Feast, a cultural and social celebration that brings students and staff together in a spirit of unity, heritage, and joy.

The school boasts well-equipped facilities, including science laboratories, ICT centres, art studios, music rooms, and agricultural training sections such as fish ponds and poultry farms—all of which support practical learning and talent development.

The house system adds a competitive and communal edge to student life, with students placed in one of the following houses:

  • St. Thomas (White House)
  • St. Francis (Blue House)
  • St. John (Green House)
  • St. Eugene (Red House)
  • St. Michael (Yellow House)
  • St. Williams (Purple House)

These houses serve as the backbone of inter-house competitions, leadership development, and teamwork. Life at Aquinas is more than just education—it’s an experience of brotherhood, growth, and legacy.
